Anniversary: Questions & Answers
The most romantic anniversary plants
We've curated this collection based on the plants we think are most romantic. For some, like the Syngonium white butterfly, it's all down to foliage. This bushy little table plant has heart-shaped leaves, the perfect not-so-subtle way to tell your partner how you feel. One of our favorite tropical plants for anniversaries is the peacock plant. Its leaves are passionate red on the bottom, and it delicately lifts its leaves to show off the underside throughout the day. If you're a traditionalist and can't imagine an anniversary without flowers, try blooming plants like the flamingo flower. Its long-lasting blossoms stay put throughout the year and cycle through romantic colors like pink, red and purple.
Anniversary plants for every level of experience
If you're worried about your carefully chosen gift dying, we recommend choosing an easy care plant for your partner. Many of these are nearly impossible to kill, and can go a week or two without water (perfect if you're planning a romantic vacation). If your other half has green thumbs, surprise and delight them with one of our medium care plants. These are slightly harder to look after, but if they're into plants they'll enjoy the challenge.
Remember to plan ahead
The only benefit cut flowers have over plant delivery for anniversary gifts is that you can grab them at the gas station on the same day. Our deliveries take a little longer, so it's best to order early if you want to surprise your sweetie with a house plant. We ship for free everywhere in the continental USA, although we do obey local agricultural laws. If the plant you're planning on buying is restricted, you'll see a disclaimer under the 'add to cart' button. Generally it takes two to three working days for us to process your order, and another 7-10 days for UPS to get it to you. Read more about our shipping terms here.
