Spring cactus (Rhipsalidopsis Gaertneri), also referred to as Easter cactus, is a leafy cactus plant with pink, red, orange, and other vibrant colored blooms at the end of each pad. Though they are a true cactus plant, they are native to the eastern parts of Brazil and are more characteristic of a jungle plant than their relatives in the desert. They require a little more water than other cacti and do well with moderate levels of humidity. They can survive for many years and will grow to a mature height of about 2 feet.
