The Schefflera arboricola (Dwarf Umbrella) indoor plant gets its common name because the leaves mimic an umbrella shape. It has smaller leaves in this species and remains under 2 feet in height if kept in a smaller pot. Place this indoor plant in bright, indirect light on an east, west, or south window to fulfill its lush characteristics. It likes to dry out on the top third of topsoil between waterings. Its easy-care makes this a great plant for the forgetful plant owner.
