Its name comes from its height — in its natural habitat only grows to a maximum height of four feet. This low-maintenance house plant is perfect for beginners and makes a unique housewarming gift.

How do you care for Aralia Fabian stump?
The Aralia Fabian Stump is a very special plant and we are glad you want to love on one! Your Fabian Aralia Stump will be in paradise if you keep it somewhere around 70 degrees and make sure it gets four hours or so of direct sunlight each day. If your aralia gets cold, it may start to lose its leaves. You should let the top layer of your fabian stumps soil dry out in between waterings. It also appreciates a song or two once in a while!
How often do you water Aralia?
The Aralia Fabian stump is fantastic because it essentially asks you to water it! You should give it just enough water to keep from wilting and it is safe to only water it when it starts looking thirsty. The top inch or so of solid should dry out between waterings.
It is difficult to tell you the exact frequency with which to water your Aralie Stump because it depends so much on its size and how much direct slight it gets. Just keep your eye on your Aralia and water it when it looks parched (around once a week).
Is Aralia Fabian toxic to cats or dogs?
The Fabian Aralia Stump (Polyscias scutellaria) does contain toxins that can cause vomiting, diarrhea, skin irritation, and rash, etc. in pets. Cats are especially sensitive to plants so if your kitty likes to nibble, try to keep you Aralia Stump out of their knawing zone.

Your Fabian Aralia Stump can grow to be up to 3 or 4 feet tall.
The Aralia is a tropical plant so it will grow to its maximum height outdoors in a tropical climate. In your living room, give it a big pot, 4 hours of sun a day, and water about once a week to help it reach its maximum indoor height.
