Tillandsia genus is in the Bromeliad family of plants. And its famous cousin you eat for refreshment is the pineapple! Interestingly, they get their moisture needs and nutrients from the air!

Hello - although I am very happy with your company, the customer service, packaging, shipping and accuracy of transaction, this little item was rather a disappointment. I ordered two - this, Andreanna Air Plant and a Tillandsia Houston Air Plant. The latter - Tillandsia - was OK - a couple of bent branches but I pulled them off the plant and it guess it will be fine. However this one (the Andreana Air Plant) is , very , very small - (I knew it would be from the picture but this one was pretty tiny! And it was seemingly quite dry, as noted when I was placing it in a small glass stand and the "tiny branches" when simply touched, broke off in pieces. I soaked for about 30 minutes and it was OK for a while, but when the water dried off it, a day or two later, the tiny branches would break again. Can try to show you pictures if you'd like.
