Italian Oregano (Origanum x majoricum) originates from the Mediterranean and is best in native temps and lower humidity. Use it in your potager garden on the bedding edge. He spreads his stems and roots along the way or can hang over the lip of a container as a spiller. Harvest the leaves to cook into savory dishes. Trim regularly to keep the leaves fresh and avoid getting bitter. The average height is 12-18 inches and spreads like a groundcover.
