Ghost Pepper Hot Sauce

Makes 1- 2 5oz bottles depending on size of peppers


  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 6 Lively Root Ghost Peppers, chopped 

  • 1 small onion diced

  • 2 medium tomatoes chopped

  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • ½ cup water


    *Reminder: Always wear gloves while handling hot peppers! 🌶️ 

    1. Wash all produce thoroughly 

    2. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and add peppers and onions. Stirring occasionally. 

    3. Add chopped tomatoes and stir. Cook about 10 minutes.

    4. Add vinegar, salt and water. Simmer about 20 minutes to allow flavors to develop.

    5. Transfer contents to a food processor and process until smooth or desired texture.

    6. Transfer to a container. Seal and refrigerate until ready to use.

    Note: We recommend wearing a respirator mask and lab goggles while making super spicy hot sauce. Cooking peppers releases capsaicin into the air and it doesn’t feel good! Open windows to get some ventilation.
