Prefers bright, indirect light. An east or north-facing window is ideal. Direct sun will scorch the velvety leaves, while too little light will reduce leaf size and slow growth. The striking vein pattern shows best in good indirect light.
Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil are dry, roughly every 7–10 days. This plant is susceptible to root rot, so always use a well-draining mix and ensure the pot has drainage holes. Never allow it to sit in standing water.
Requires high humidity of 60–80% to truly thrive. A humidifier nearby is the most effective solution. Pebble trays and grouping plants together can also help. Low humidity can cause brown leaf edges and curling.
